Empowering people with financial knowledge

Small businesses are the backbone of local communities, filling essential needs and fueling economic growth. Yet many promising entrepreneurs around the world struggle to gain basic financial management skills or to qualify for loans that could help their businesses grow.

In response, we’ve launched Reshape Tomorrow™, a global initiative that will help promote greater financial inclusion by bringing more small-business owners — especially women and members of untapped groups in developing markets — the knowledge and resources needed to obtain credit and build stronger businesses.

“When people have knowledge, they gain confidence. And they have a more equal shot at participating in their communities in ways that open the door to greater success.”
Mark Almeida
President, Moody’s Analytics

Reshape Tomorrow™ will provide access to vital information about the credit process as well as technology tools to help small businesses thrive. For example, we’ll use the MARQ™ portal to strengthen relationships between small businesses and lenders in order to unlock lending opportunities. We’ll also deploy CashFlowTool.com — an application launched in 2018 by our partner Finagraph — that helps small-business owners manage their cash flow and understand their credit position.

We partner with organizations that share our vision of creating a more inclusive economy. For example, we support The Fore, a UK nonprofit that helps early-stage charities and social enterprises secure funding and develop more effective business plans.

These are just some of the ways we’re applying our talents, connections and passion to help capital markets work for more people.
